The Laguna Dance Festival is presented each spring by CaDance, whose mission is to bring outstanding dance performances to Southern California. Founded by Artistic Director Jodie Gates in 2005, LDF provides a platform for new and established choreographers and dancer to showcase work, develop audience awareness, and provide young dancers with Master Classes given by seasoned artists.
With a stunning view of the coastline, LDF’s performances are held outside or in the Laguna Beach Artists’ Theatre. Festival-goers have a chance to see some of the best work in the nation, with companies such as American Ballet Theater, NY City Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Ballet X, and Corbin Dances. CaDance/Laguna Dance Festival achieves its goal every year by highlighting exceptional companies and choreographers, bringing them to the reach of the local community and its visitors in a setting that is truly inspiring.
