Tracing its roots back to 1965 and the 32-member Austin Civic Chorus, Chorus Austin today boasts 140 singers and an impressive repertoire of classic choral masterworks. Under the direction of Maestro Ryan Heller, Chorus Austin strives to provide the community with the highest level of professional choral music and provide its members with opportunities for artistic development. Chorus Austin also includes the smaller Austin Vocal Arts Ensemble and Chorus Austin Consort as its more intimate chamber ensembles, performing everything from new classical works to jazz and spirituals. Season tickets are available through the website and are a real steal given the high quality of the concerts. Significant discounts are available for Students and Seniors.
