In conjunction with Emerging Pictures, Fort Lauderdale’s Cinema Paradiso screens first runs of independent and foreign pictures. The theater’s programming also frequently includes South Florida premieres and special events, as well as the monthly Cinema Verite, a film and discussion series that features an eclectic mix of indie films. Opera buffs also love Cinema Pardiso for its screenings of high-definition broadcasts from Milan’s La Scala Opera.
