San Diego’s Landmark Ken Cinema is a welcome rarity—an old-style neighborhood movie house that has one screen and includes balcony seating. You never know what to expect at the Ken, which alternately screens independent films, classics, foreign flicks, and documentaries. Special midnight screenings of classics and cult favorites are offered on weekends, and the snack selection features a full coffee bar and has been voted “Best in San Diego” twice since 2003.
