With eight different concert series to choose from, ranging the jazz and popular song standards to world music to exclusive piano recitals and new and classic entries in chamber music, the Metropolitan Museum’s set of programs is astonishing in the breadth and specificity of its offerings. A brief cross-section of concert programming includes Shostakovich string quartets, Sinatra songs, mariachi music, and Peking opera for younger audiences.

If you’re visiting the city for a brief weekend, or you simply need your arts fix, making a day of it with the tandem of the visual art and music of the Met, for one all-inclusive price, is an excellent choice.
