Founded in 1923 and located in Houston’s Hermann Park, The Miller Outdoor Theatre presents an full season of plays, musicals and shows for children annually. This theater is particularly noteworthy because of the fact that it is the only proscenium stage in the country to present all of its productions completely free of charge. The Miller offers evening performances by high profile, locally based companies like Houston Shakespeare Festival and Theater Under the Stars, as well as daytime presentations of family fare. Hollywood blockbusters and classic films are also screened free of charge at The Miller.
