The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is dedicated to the creation of new work; the revitalization and re-exploration of classic material; keeping up with new developments at the forefront of the international theatre world; ongoing investigation of the “process” of creating theatre; and continued development of new acting, directing, and writing talent via the company’s Play Development Program, Actors’ Laboratory, and Emerging Directors Plan. OTE is moving toward the creation of an International Experimental Theatre Center, with the goals of facilitating cross-pollination of artists from different countries, cultures, and disciplines and presenting this collaborative work to the Southern California audience.
