A true Boston legend and arguably the most reputable jazz club in the whole New England area, the Regattabar offers authentic jazz from top-notch talent. Frequent performers of note (past and present) include Elvin Jones, Dave Holland and Kenny Werner. Since its opening it has also hosted its own annual summer jazz festival, the aptly named Regattabar Jazz Festival.

Located inside the Charles Hotel in Harvard Square, the Regattabar has been a destination for many of the most prestigious artists on the international touring circuit for a quarter of a century. The Regattabar’s prestige has not affected the intimacy of the performances there, and its unique design offers a club-like atmosphere, though the ensembles are stadium-quality.

Above all else the Regattabar is a listening venue; it has a limited food and drink menu. Parking is expensive at the hotel and is as difficult on the street as anywhere in Boston, so we recommend public transportation for your night out. Tickets are reasonable for the remarkable musicians you might come across (generally $15-30, less for acts earlier in the week), but book early to get the best seats as table seating is first come, first serve for phone reservations.
