Sci Fi Philly is a project of the Ars Nova Workshop, a group dedicated to the promotion of avant garde jazz and experimental music. Held every Sunday at Gojjo, Sci Fi is a true meeting of the experimental minds (with a bit of an Ethiopian flair, given the setting). The cover charge is usually around $5, and for such a small price, you get a whole world of unexpected. On any given Sunday, you might find local free jazz enthusiasts or the latest in electronic jazz straight from Scandinavia.
