A great jazz supper club on the Upper West Side? Who would’ve guessed? Smoke Jazz & Supper Club is wonderful addition to the already legendary NYC jazz scene. The performers, generally up-and-coming players and established area favorites, are uniformly fantastic and the atmosphere is impeccable.
Cover charges on the weekends & minimums can run a little steep, but the premium you pay is not without its reason. There is no cover charge for week-night performances, but there is a food and drink minimum for all performances. If you consider yourself a night owl, try the late night, no-cover weekend sets (but be sure to eat dinner beforehand!). If jazz brunches are your thing, they have both a Saturday and Sunday option.
