Timothy J. Kreuger has served as Artistic Director of St. Martin’s Chamber Choir since he founded the 24-voice group in 1994. As professional propagators of serious music, every member of the ensemble has extensive training in the world of musical academia.
Performing predominantly sacred works a cappella, St. Martin’s boasts a staggering, far-reaching repertoire of over 550 works spanning from medieval music to the present. The choir’s seemingly encyclopedic representation of the depth and breadth of choral literature is truly refreshing: rarities from the likes of Richard Wagner and Zoltán Kodály can be found alongside standard Renaissance works by Orlando di Lasso, Thomas Tallis, and Palestrina, not to mention new works by contemporary composers.
The choir serves the Denver area with five to six choral programs per year. The group’s web site features useful links to numerous concert resources, including glossaries, composer biographies, and notes on choral concert etiquette.
