With over 2400 seats and a 1200-space parking lot, the massive Stranahan Theater is the place for Toledo residents and visitors to catch the touring productions of hefty Broadway musicals (Wicked, The Jersey Boys, Spamalot) and holiday performances by the likes of Mannheim Steamroller, the Toledo Ballet and the Ohio State University Marching Band. The Toledo Symphony also performs its Pops series here, and on occasion the Stranahan will play host to a solo artist, band, or variety act like the Geritol Follies or Loretta Lynn.
Funded by the nonprofit Stranahan Foundation, the theater is located about three miles from downtown Toledo in a complex that it shares with the 10,000-square foot Stranahan Great Hall.
