One of New York’s more historic (if not one of its classier) cabaret spaces, The Duplex is located in the heart of the West Village. It has been bringing almost non-stop entertainment to NYC for over 50 years (define “entertainment” as you will).
With the standard cabaret room and piano bar combination, The Duplex presents a variety of musical and theatrical diversions including a nightly piano bar open mike, a regular “Mostly Sondheim” concert, and a number of cabaret acts and special events in its Off-Broadway theater space. Cover generally runs from $5-20 with a two-drink minimum. The space itself is not always the greatest of environments, but pop in on the right night, and you’ll have a night out that only NYC can give.
