In just a little over ten years, Florida Rep has become an important new player on the Southwest Florida theatre scene. Recently singled out by the Wall Street Journal for “setting the bar high for all comers,” the emerging group is beautifully housed at historic Arcade Theatre, a newly renovated movie house in Ft. Myers.

Florida Rep’s annual season combines classics (Scapino, Romeo and Juliet) with contemporary comedy and drama (Rabbit Hole, Boeing-Boeing) and timeless favorites (All My Sons, To Kill a Mockingbird) in productions buoyed by first class production values and award winning talent. Attracting an audience of nearly 70,000 patrons each year, Florida Rep’s scope has extended to include a quickly rising education arm, with a multifaceted initiative, including a touring children’s theatre, a Saturday morning Lunchbox Theatre Series, a summer camp, and on-site theatre classes and residencies in local school rooms.
