To be opened in 2014, the Tateuchi Center will be the premiere source for the performing arts in Bellevue and the greater Seattle community east of Lake Washington. The name honors a generous donation by the Atsuhiko and Ina Goodwin Tateuchi Foundation.
The Center will feature a 2,000-seat Concert Hall and 250-seat Cabaret, in a facility designed by Pfeiffer Partners Architects, with acousticians Jaffe Holden and theatre consultants Schuler Shook. The calendar of activities at the Tateuchi Center will reflect the full diversity of its community, with over 300 events planned for its inaugural season, representing the whole spectrum of the performing arts.
