Originally opened as an Ethiopian restaurant on Colorado Avenue in DC, Twins Jazz became a hot spot for live music in DC and is now celebrating over a decade at it’s current location on U Street. Acts who have graced the stage include Shirley Horn, Bobby Sanchez, Roy Hargrove and Nancy Wilson.
Live jazz Tuesday-Sunday sets the tone for a lovely evening of good food and even better music. The cover charge can occasionally run a little high, especially with a table minimum, but as long as you go for dinner, it’s quite reasonable. The sets rarely sell out, but do arrive reasonably early if you expect to be seated near the stage. Tickets are available online, but we recommend just going early to the venue to avoid the ticket surcharges.
