Founded in 1984 as the Norfolk Pro Musica, the Virginia Chorale has become one of the finest professional choirs in the Commonwealth, performing masterworks from the Renaissance onward, as well as premiering new works and performing in a variety of concert settings. The choir generally performs 4-5 programs with 2-3 performances of each in different venues throughout each season, with various flexible subscription packages available. The ensemble sponsors a number of education and outreach programs to middle and high school students in the Norfolk area. The Chorale performs under the direction of acclaimed conductor and tenor, Scott Williamson.
Virginia Chorale Information
- Performance/Programs: Performances generally on Fridays, Saturday, and Sundays.
- Admission: Single tickets $27-$35. Student tickets are $10.
- Group Discounts: Discounts available for groups of 10 or more. The Chorale has a free ticket program that allows local music teachers to request free tickets for their student ensembles.
