Unlike the traditional ballet company model, Boca Ballet Theatre (BBT) does not maintain a regular group of performers. Instead, BBT hires professional dancers on a per-production basis for principal and soloist roles while relying on its most advanced students to make up the bulk of the cast. This model has enabled their productions to feature some of the most famous dancers in the world from companies such as American Ballet Theatre, Royal Danish Ballet, and National Ballet of Canada. BBT has been performing for audiences in the Tri-County area since 1991. They are the sixth largest dance company in Florida and a nationally respected civic organization.
