The Onyx Theatre has become the go-to place for the irreverent and the unusual. The venue dedicates itself to providing an alternative to more showy, mainstream fare, presenting productions by amateur theater companies, off-beat plays, one-person shows, talent showcases, late-night offerings, and special events. The Onyx also hosts ongoing series, such as a twice-monthly midnight Rocky Horror and a Monday night improv show.

• Performance/Programs: Most shows have a Thursday–Sunday performance schedule, with some long-running events doing one show a week on Monday night or late-night Saturday
