Known nationwide as a hub for American music, Austin has quite a few venues that feature music nightly, from blues to rock ‘n roll to jazz and beyond.  The Elephant Room is a venue that is central to Austin’s jazz underground, featuring young and eclectic acts (many of which exist slightly off the beaten path) seven nights a week. It’s is a listening venue and nightspot, so it features a full bar but a limited dining menu.

Come here to find young musicians beginning to make waves on the scene, established local ensembles in residency, and the occasional touring act from either coast.  Admission is free on weeknights, and weekends feature a nominal cover charge.
