Forged from the remnants of the now defunct Tulsa Philharmonic, the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra held its inaugural season in 2005 and continues to expand with even better concerts and a great lineup of guest conductors. Musician-led, the 50-member ensemble evokes the sense of a community of music lovers creating beautiful art, perhaps something many of the country’s larger orchestras could strive to emulate. Six major concerts each season and a whole host of educational programs make this infant orchestra an exciting part of Oklahoma’s cultural life.
