The Butler School of Music at the University of Texas at Austin is home to a remarkable set of eclectic student ensembles representing a variety of venerated musical cultures with disparate instrumentation. The music school is also home to the Center for American Music, which was founded in 2002 to promote exploration of American musical idioms through education.
