Billings Arts: Art Scene in Billings

Billings has worked in recent years to add fine and performing arts to its well-known rugged natural beauty. Located near Yellowstone National Park, Billings boasts several theatrical, musical and fine arts organizations, and in 1999 founded Rimrock Opera, a homegrown opera company which produces one or two full productions annually.

Buffalo Bill Historical Center (Cody, WY)

Encompassing five museums and a research library, the Buffalo Bill Historical Center has expanded greatly since its humble beginnings in 1927. Originally housed in a modest 50 x 70 foot log building created to mimic Buffalo Bill’s ranch house, today the Center is recognized as one of America’s favorite museums.
