Combining truly fine dining and jazz is an all-too-often ignored endeavor. However, Wilf’s has turned it into an art with an incredible wine selection, world-class cuisine and live jazz Wednesday-Saturday. Some of Portland’s finest jazz musicians (and there are quite a number of them) perform regularly at Wilf’s. Wednesday and Thursday shows generally begin at 7:30 pm, Friday and Saturday at 8 pm. They do have a limited number of reserved parking spaces, so arrive early if you know it’s going to be a busy night. The restaurant itself is actually attached to Union Station, making it easy to stop in for a drink and a bite to eat while waiting for your train. There is often a food/drink minimum when there isn’t a cover charge, but the food is certainly worth it.
