Marina Abramovic, who made waves last year with her The Artist is Present retrospective at MoMA, during which Abramovic sat, immobile, for more than 700 hours in the museum’s Marron Atrium while museum-goers were invited to sit down and stare at her, is having one of those moments where suddenly her name is everywhere. She’s been the subject of an HBO film, collaborated with Robert Wilson, and recently created a bizarre gala fundraiser for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles that featured naked human centerpieces.
