Dario Robleto’s “Blues” Take Shape at New Orleans Museum of Art

Dario Robleto gets up to some wackiness in his stuff; past work has included such materials as dinosaur bones, melted vinyl records, and wreaths made out of hair. So I won’t even begin to try to tease out what might make up this new exhibition, Dario Robleto: The Prelives of the Blues, which opens at NOMA Friday evening with a reception that starts at 5 and will feature tunes by Marc Stone (from Rockin’ Dopsie Jr. and the Zydeco Twisters) and all the other assorted frivolity and niceties that accompany an exhibition opening, like improv museum tours and a film about Thornton Dial, whose exhibition not incidentally is also still up at NOMA.
