Delaware Symphony Orchestra Suspends Operations

Another in a seemingly endless litany of American orchestras that are doing EHHHHH not so well with the money these days, the Delaware Symphony Orchestra is going to take a breather for 2012-13, with the intent of rethinking its business model and, yep, trying to figure out some way to make more money. The orchestra has every intention of returning for a 2013-14 season, and many more after that; with any luck, America will find a bunch of coins in the couch, and maybe be able to help out a little. Seriously, though, it’d be really nice if we discovered some money we forgot about somewhere, like as a country, because this is getting old. Godspeed, DSO; we’ll catch you on the flip side.
