I don’t know what to make of this one, so I’ll just leave the link to the story down below and jump out of the way, but if it turns out that this is, in fact, PayPal policy – not destruction, necessarily, but the complicated and tortured quasi-logic that could have conceivably led to “Just smash the thing” seeming like a sensible solution to this dispute – then it’s pretty clear that whatever else PayPal might be, it’s not really a business.
