I promise that I don’t have some overarching morbid fascination with the demise of American artistic companies; it just seems like it’s been happening a lot lately, and it looks like it might be happening again. The San Antonio Opera has quietly removed all of this season’s remaining performances from the Ticketmaster web site, and its musicians have not received music for the production of Don Giovanni scheduled to run February 17-19.
