Pair of holiday Pops concerts is DSO’s gift to Detroit

In something of an unusual move for the music director of a major symphony, Leonard Slatkin will take the baton this weekend for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s annual “Home for the Holidays” Pops concerts, which will also feature two local high school choruses and Slatkin’s son on piano.
