Edgar Allan Poe was a wanderer; over the course of his four decades, he lived in Richmond, New York and Philadelphia, and maybe some others, before dying on a Baltimore street in 1849. His path began in Boston, however, and now a long-proposed public art project intended to honor Poe takes another small step toward fruition on Monday, when three finalists in the sculpture competition present their designs to city officials at Edgar Allan Poe Square on the Common.
