Oh, this is delicious. You know, if you can ignore the swelter, the odors and the hot-like-the-sun pavement, New York in the summertime is really not all that bad. It sure isn’t boring. Take, for instance, the return of Spiegelworld, which is bringing its big-top spectacle Empire to a vacant lot on W. 45th St. not far from the Richard Rodgers Theater beginning May 22. Spiegelworld has run these spectacles in New York before, but always at South Street Seaport; bringing Empire to the heart of Broadway is a bold move, in today’s New York, considering it’s a show that’s housed in a gigantic tent and features performers with names like Moondog and Rubbish Bag Lady. This could get very interesting. (Broadway.com Staff)
