St. Paul Chamber Orchestra Will Offer $5/Month Passes

For the fine arts, attendance – except for the extraordinarily rare blockbuster like The Book of Mormon or Cats or the Alexander McQueen show at the Met – has long been a point of concern. Audiences continue to age, and people raised on punk rock and the Internet are, more and more, sticking with punk rock and the Internet. Something has to give, and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra thinks it’s found a solution – flexibility, specifically, in the form of its new five-buck month passes. Buy an SPCO membership, and for the extra fin you get unlimited concerts throughout the month. The catch, such that there is one, is that the premium seats are not included, and you don’t get to sit in the same seat for each show.
