On Sunday, February 12th at 1pm (doors at noon) join Thinking Cap Theatre at The Vanguard for the launch of a new play reading series in celebration of the Pulitzer’s Centenary.  GAP spotlights and examines 11 of the 15 Pulitzer plays by women.

The first featured play in the series will be Miss Lulu Bett by Zona Gale.  A comedy of manners, Miss Lulu Bett examines the awakening of an introverted, overworked spinster who rebels against her family to achieve happiness on her own terms. The play garnered the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1921, marking the first time a woman received the prestigious honor.

The staged reading will be performed Mariah Busk, Clay Cartland, Fern Katz, Toby Martin, Gretchen Porro, Elizabeth Price, Christopher Mitchell, and Emma Seeger under the direction of Nicole Stodard.

TALKBACK: Dramaturg Jane Duncan will lead a post-performance talkback with the cast and audience.

NEXT UP IN THE GAP SERIES: The GAP series will continue on Sunday, March 26th at 1pm with Alison’s House by Susan Glaspell.  Save the date!
