Atlanta Ballet
Atlanta Ballet is the oldest professional dance company still functioning today in the United States. Founded in 1929 under the name the Dorothy Alexander Dance Concert Group, the company has grown to become Georgia’s largest self-supported arts organization. The ballet has a strong presence in Atlanta’s cultural community, having distinguished itself as international performers and as innovative collaborators with other artists, such as the Indigo Girls and OutKast’s Big Boi.
