Fitzgerald Theatre

The F. Scott Fitzgerald Theater is perhaps best known as the home of Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion” (APHC), a radio variety show that harkens back to a simpler era in American life.  Appropriately, then, the Theater itself was built in 1910, an era when vaudeville was America’s favorite form of entertainment, and the American Northwest remained largely untapped.

Hennepin Theatre Trust

Originally part of Minneapolis’s “Theatre Row” (which at one point featured over 30 legit venues), the Orpheum (1921), State (1921) and Pantages (1916) are all historic vaudeville theatres which have been scrupulously renovated and maintained by the Hennepin Theater Trust. Ordway Center for the Performing Arts

The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts began as a dream of Sally Ordway Irvine, a St. Paul resident and heiress of the 3M company.  She envisioned a multi-purpose facility that would feature “everything from opera to the Russian circus.” Opened in 1985 as the Ordway Music Theatre, its name changed in 2000 to evince the diversity of performing arts featured on its two stages.

St. Catherine University – O’Shaughnessy
