Another major player in the Detroit arts revival is the historic Music Hall and its downstairs Jazz Café. With seating for around 130, this intimate setting hosts thousands of performers a year, including both international touring acts and local talent. On Tuesdays the Café hosts a Discovery Series with a variety of up-and-coming talent and on Wednesdays it holds an R&B jam, all with no cover charge. Food and beverage is available. Cover charges are very reasonable and the setting is top-notch.
