Houston Symphony Goes Multimedia

This is probably the way the arts are going to shake out as we move forward: the lines between genres blurring and, gradually, getting erased. (Note that this does not mean that “Tweet Seats” are a thing that should exist, because they should not, please get over it.) The Houston Symphony – who are yet another world-class American classical music organization that have likely seen their attendance dwindling of late, and if they have not, forgive me – are gearing up to do a second multimedia performance in the wake of their immensely popular version of Holst’s The Planets in 2010, which was was paired with a film about the planets, naturally.
