To look at the art! It wants them to look at the art! That’s all! Don’t flip out, this is actually really great. The Toledo Museum of Art, which trust us is one of the great undersung art museums in America, is heading off the whole “how do we get younger?” thing at the pass with their new “baby tours” initiative, which is just what it sounds like. You bring your kid (up to 18 months of age), one per adult, to the TMA, and you get a special tour designed to appeal to the infant/toddler set. Presumably, this is not going to be offered for every exhibition, but the TMA’s current Jules Olitsky show is right smack dab in that baby’s wheelhouse.
