Music of the Night

The Plaza Theatre presents a tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber with Music of the Night April 24th – May 11th.  This musical cabaret features local actors Wayne LeGette, Laura Hodos, and Ann Marie Olsen with direction by Amy London and music direction by Mark Galsky.

Music of the Night takes theatergoers on a magical journey through the legacy of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber including songs from musicals such as: Phantom of the Opera, Evita, Sunset Boulevard, Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Starlight Express, Song and Dance and Aspects of Love.

Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber began his studies at age 17 at the Royal College of Music, where he was considered a “child prodigy” of composing.  He has gone on to receive three Tony Awards, three Grammy Awards, an Oscar, an International Emmy, a Golden Globe Award, six Olivier Awards, and the Kennedy Center Honors in 2006. His works include thirteen musicals, two film scores, one song cycle, a set of variations, and a Latin Requiem Mass.

This Plaza Theatre production of Music of the Night runs April 24 – May 11 Wednesdays & Sundays at 2 p.m., Thursdays & Fridays at 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays at 2 p.m. & 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 each, with special group rates available. The Plaza Theatre, a not-for-profit 250-seat theatre, is home to a variety of light-hearted shows, with an occasional gripping drama, that will please every show-goer. The Plaza Theatre promises lower-than-average ticket prices and is bringing quality entertainment to all.
