They are Garfunkel and Oates. Love them.

I took in a great show by actress-duo Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome – also known as Garfunkel and Oates – at the Snoqualmie Casino last Saturday. The comedic pair, who perform in a recurring show at the venerated Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles, has been called a female Flight of the Conchords, a comparison the two embrace. Like the Conchords, the pair will soon have an HBO sitcom that will bring their quirky comedy to a much wider audience. Micucci starred in several episodes of Scrubs and also appears on the FOX sitcom Raising Hope, while Lindhome had small roles in Clint Eastwood’s Million Dollar Baby and Wes Craven’s The Last House on the Left. The new show is predicted to resemble “Sex in the City meets Curb Your Enthusiasm”.

The two started working together in 2008 when Lindhome wrote a short film and asked Micucci to help her turn it into a musical. The young pair share brilliantly insightful observations on a variety of topics from gay marriage to awkward dating scenarios. Hopefully they will have a long future together, and will share equally thought-provoking views on middle age.
