The Contemporary Arts Center project Expose is a must see for any aspiring artist who stomps the ground in The Big Easy. Curated by a group of interns in the Visual Arts Department and overseen by the director of Visual Arts, Expose is a work of art that is the result of many conversations about the limitations and possibilities of curatorial practice. The role of the curator often isn’t seen, but in Expose the artists have created a platform for fostering understanding and appreciate of the curator. The artists’ use of space and data manifest into a work of art that must be seen! The first art installation set up in the CAC’s display window will help you understand the curator’s world and eye a little better. Enjoy Expose at the CAC through January 29th.
