Christo’s Massive Outdoor Installation One Step Closer To Approval

Christo’s controversial “Over the River” project, which would suspend fabric panels across a 42-mile stretch of the Arkansas River, has been approved by Fremont County. The project still needs to get the go-ahead from Chaffee County, the Colorado State Department of Transportation, and the State Patrol.

Feminism & Co. at the MCA Denver

Following intense criticism, Christo’s planned “Over The River” project has been pushed back until 2015. Woman Damages Painting Worth Over $30 Million at Clyfford Still Museum

On December 29th, 2011, an intoxicated 36-year-old Denver woman allegedly attacked and damaged a painting worth between $30-40 million at the newly-opened Clyfford Still Museum. Denver’s Clyfford Still Museum Finally Opens Its Doors

One of the leaders of the Abstract Expressionist movement, Clyfford Still was born in 1904 in North Dakota. During his lifetime, the artist sold only about 150 paintings, which are now housed in various museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
