Ballet Nouveau Colorado (BNC) was initially founded in 1992 under the name Rocky Mountain Repertory Ensemble and served as a community dance training program for North Denver youth. This regional ballet company was born out of a small Denver dance school established over 50 years ago. Founders Lillian Covillo and the late Freidann Parker trained ballet students for 10 years before deciding to establish the Colorado Concert Ballet.
