Ballet Nouveau Colorado (BNC)

Ballet Nouveau Colorado (BNC) was initially founded in 1992 under the name Rocky Mountain Repertory Ensemble and served as a community dance training program for North Denver youth. Cleo Parker Robinson Dance

From its grass-roots beginnings in 1970, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance has grown into a well-respected and civically minded cultural arts institution. It includes a professional dance ensemble, a year-round school, and several outreach programs for at-risk youth. Members of CPRD’s professional ensemble act as both dancers and educators. Colorado Ballet

This regional ballet company was born out of a small Denver dance school established over 50 years ago. Founders Lillian Covillo and the late Freidann Parker trained ballet students for 10 years before deciding to establish the Colorado Concert Ballet. They wanted to create a professional company so that their talented students wouldn’t have to go to other cities for jobs.
