Well, most companies in our small city of Pittsburgh take the summer off. Student intensive courses are poised to begin at Point Park, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Father Ryan Arts Center and at many more locations. Pittsburgh Kicks Off Summer With Three Rivers Arts Festival

The 53rd annual Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival is underway, and the event promises a chance to view a wide variety of art. Organized by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, the festival spreads out over Point State Park, Hertz Gateway Center, and throughout the Cultural District, delivering a number of attractions dedicated to showcasing new and emerging artists.

The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Provides Soundtrack to New CMOA Exhibit

Going Dutch and So Much More at Pittsburgh’s Downtown Gallery Crawl

Four times a year, The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust hosts a free Gallery Crawl where the public can view shows at the many galleries and art spaces in the downtown Cultural District. Newest Installment of ‘Gestures’ Opens At The Mattress Factory

In 2001, the Mattress Factory initiated the Gestures exhibition series to present new works by regional artists. On March 30, 2012, the sixteenth installment of the series opened at the museum’s annex gallery located at 1414 Monterey Street on Pittsburgh’s North Side.

Gia T. Boxheart Gallery Gets to the Heart of the Matter with ‘Sea Creatures and Blood Vessels’

Art exhibitions aren’t usually known for their PG rating, but the Frick Art and Historical Center has a show that’s appropriate for all ages. Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s Uncommon to feature Dwight Rhoden premiere at August Wilson Center

In an uncommon move, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre (PBT) will stage its first work in partnership with August Wilson Center for African American Culture. The show, Uncommon, will open the post-holiday season for the well-established Pittsburgh company and will feature a world premiere by Complexions Contemporary Ballet‘s Dwight Rhoden.
